Mongolian Script

Mongolian Script

$73.28

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Mongolian script in Mongolian Cyrillic or Hudum Mongolian script (in comparison with Todo Mongolian script), was the first of many writing systems created for the Mongolian language and the most successful until the introduction of Cyrillic to Mongolia in 1946. With minor modification, the classic vertical script is used in Inner Mongolia to this day to write both Mongolian and the Evenki language. The Mongolian vertical script was developed as an adaption of the Uyghur script to write the Mongolian language. It was introduced by the Uyghur scribe TatarTonga, who had been captured by the Mongols during a war against the Naimans around 1204. There were no substantive changes to the Uyghur form for the first few centuries, so that, for example, initial yodh stood for both and, while medial tsadi stood for both and, and there was no letter for d] in initial position. Davaa, a young filmmaker, returns to her native country and to the region where she grew up to show us life among the nomadic people. Through the touching story of the young girl Nansaa and her little dog Zochor, she depicts the freedom of life on the steppes, as well as the spirituality of the people and the significance of the Buddhist faith. Delicate and poignant, Davaa’s story also highlights the increasing tensions as these rich traditions come into conflict with the demands of modern urban life. Following the international success of The Story of the Weeping Camel, director Byambasuren Davaa takes us on a journey into another world, and through poetic writing and exquisite photography she reveals the magic of Mongolian culture.

He was the first of Genghis Khan retainers to suggest the policy of Mongol conquests, and he also introduced many administrative reforms in North China during the reign of Genghis Khan and his successor Ögedei. Yelü Chucai’s father Yelu Lu, served with the Jurchen Jin Dynasty, which defeated the Liao Dynasty in 1125, and it was the unified Mongolian army under Genghis Khan that began a war of conquest against the Jin Dynasty in 1211. Both Jurchen and Khitan rebels joined the Mongols in the fight against the Jin Dynasty, and Yelü Chucai joined Genghis Khan’s administration in the year 1218 at the age of 28. In death, Yelü Chucai was honored with a tomb beside Beijing’s Kunming Lake, later moved to the gardens of the Summer Palace. The Khitans and Mongols, as well as the Southern Song, were united by their common enemy of the Jurchen Jin Dynasty. It is shown in the well-known words pronounced by Genghis Khan, at the end of July, when he met Yelü Chucai for the first time at
